25th Anniversary Celebrations At Woburn Safari Park

15th June 2018

On Friday 8th June we celebrated SilverDisc’s 25th anniversary with a fun-filled trip to Woburn Safari Park. The company turned 25 on 10th March, but we wanted to wait until the summer before we ventured out to celebrate – and it turned out to be a great day for it.

For the duration of the day at Woburn Safari Park we used a private VIP lodge as our base, reserved just for us. Upon meeting at 10am, we kicked off the day with a Safari Off Road Adventure Tour. The rangers took us off the beaten track quite literally – they drove the Land Rovers off the road and onto the grass where we saw many of the animals at a remarkably close distance. On our two hour tour we encountered lions, tigers, bears, monkeys, antelopes, cattle, elephants, giraffes, wolves, and more.

Back at the lodge, it was lunch time and we enjoyed a barbecue out on the veranda, overlooking Desert Springs and Otter Falls. Entertainment was provided by local pianist Lincoln Noel and our very own Paul Saffery treated us to his musical talents, too.

After our relaxing lunch it was time to dive into our afternoon activity – a “Safari Survival” game. We were split into two teams and sent out into the park to find answers to questions and complete activities in order to win stars (much like TV show “I’m  A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”). This included getting up close and personal with some not quite so furry friends! Prizes in the form of Amazon vouchers, safari park keyrings and certificates were awarded to the winning team.

Once the results were announced we enjoyed canapes and then many of us explored some more of the safari on foot, including the monkeys, penguins, birds of prey, lemurs, and farm animals. Finally, we finished the day with a prosecco toast to the team.

We’d like to thank the staff at Woburn Safari Park, and Lincoln Noel, for giving us a very special day to celebrate turning 25!
