For the last 5 or so years I have been a content girl. By that I mean that I have been happy in my job, despite the ups and downs, and also that I have been a part of the Content Team.
In essence my job was writing. In Content we have Good Words.
From exciting articles about festivals and art exhibitions in some of the most beautiful and historic cities in Europe like Copenhagen, Venice and Berlin for Generator Hostels, I also wrote informative and newsworthy pieces for Be Wiser Insurance.
The third major part of my role was to help moderate and look after a social Q & A website run by SilverDisc. We're a really friendly and stunningly useful.
My job was interesting, fun and, let’s face it, I was darned good at it too!
Then our glorious leader Alan came to me with an intriguing proposal.
"How would you like to learn about garden machinery?"
Well, of course my answer was a big fat yes. What is an expert internet marketing company doing getting involved with garden machinery I hear you ask?
That is a good question - the long and the short of it is that one of our oldest and best clients GardenLines have come to us looking for a new website and sales support.
And there was a Lynda shaped vacancy in the team for the taking.
Luckily I have some experience in dealing with customers and sales, so it has not been too difficult to fit in.
So now my words are spoken not written, I always have a smile in my voice for the customer and thankfully a plentiful supply of tea.
I have been here in GardenLines for about a month and it feels like I am just starting to get the hang of it.
Luckily, the commute is about the same as I am just on the other side of the office and I get to work with two of the most beautiful and amazing girls Sam and Dorota who have been brilliant at getting me up to speed and it is good to be teamed up with them both again.
Our days are never dull and while the customer may not always be right he is king.
So the grass is greener on this side of the office...
