New Responsive, E-Commerce Website for Thomas Farthing

Unique British designer brand Thomas Farthing has recently worked with SilverDisc to develop a mobile optimised e-commerce website. Based in the heart of London’s historic Bloomsbury, Thomas Farthing opened in 2012 and rapidly established itself as a shop of outstanding quality and impeccable taste. With a keen influence on British design and style, Thomas Farthing looked to create a shop that was a step back in time, but with garments that were relevant to today’s fashion conscious society.

After establishing Thomas Farthing in Bloomsbury, the next step was to build an online presence that represented all that Thomas Farthing had built and become renowned for. The website needed to evoke a 1930’s spirit, understated style and class whilst being completely in tune with the modern world.

The responsive design of the website means that customers using any mobile or desktop device will be able to browse the site in a simple, intuitive way. With an integrated e-commerce platform the website has the ability to allow quick browsing and easy ordering. Replicating the Bloomsbury shopping experience online required a careful balance between design and usability. We love the result and truly believe that it represents Thomas Farthing's values in the most appropriate way.
